Alexandra Miceli is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist based in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, specializing in Internal Family Systems, Contextual Family Therapy, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. She works with couples navigating relationship challenges, families resolving conflict, and individuals managing anxiety and depression.
Alex takes a systems-focused approach to therapy, recognizing the interconnectedness of relationships and the impact of family dynamics, family of origin, and childhood upbringing on individual well-being. She integrates Internal Family Systems, Contextual Family Therapy, and the Gottman Method to help clients navigate challenges within their relational and personal systems.
She brings compassion, insight, and a genuine passion for working with people from all walks of life, fostering a relaxed, warm, and inclusive environment where clients feel truly heard and valued. Having experienced the transformative power of therapy herself, Alex deeply understands the courage it takes to seek help and the wide range of emotions that can accompany the process. She strives to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their concerns openly.
Alex is particularly passionate about supporting couples who come to therapy before making the decision to end their relationship. However, her expertise extends to guiding couples through all stages of their journey, including co-parenting and decoupling.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Buffalo State College and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from La Salle University. She is currently advancing her training to become a certified Level 1 Gottman Couples Therapist.
